Our artisans from the far-off rural communities living at the outskirts of Jaipur, India - are skilled craftspeople who have practised the art of hand block printing for generations. Hand block printing usually entails wooden blocks with beautiful patterns that are engraved on fabrics such as cotton or silk.

When you buy hand blocked products, you are helping such communities keep alive one of the oldest methods of printing while also fueling their livelihood - a style of work they are most comfortable with.

Women artisans have a tendency of singing folk songs or sharing folklores while doing the hand block printing, it’s a tradition that helps them enjoy their daily chore. By buying such handmade products, you are giving back to these communities.

Kantha is a unique kind of embroidery that originated in the state of West Bengal in India and eventually spread to neighbouring states of Tripura and Odisha. The feel and touch of the soils and culture of these states can be easily seen in this embroidery. Mostly passed on from one generation of women to another, Kantha artisans have kept alive a dying tradition of hand-stitch embroidery.

One of the most unique aspects of the Kantha range is the variety of designs each state’s artisans stitch while recreating their environment on the fabrics. Noush Living practises fair wages to the artisans from whom this range is sourced. By buying one of the Kantha products, you are contributing to their livelihood and culture.
